Frontend Engineering Team Lead

Join a dynamic team of frontend engineers to take on the challenge of leading our Storefront Frontend development.

The ideal candidate will have extensive experience architecting and leading large-scale React/Next.js applications, with expertise in performance optimisation, server-side rendering, and static-site generation.

They will be proficient in Tailwind CSS and CSS architecture for maintainable, performant UI, as well as skilled in component-based design and reuse, including design systems and shared component libraries.

A strong understanding of web accessibility standards (WCAG 2.1+) and SEO best practices is essential, along with experience mentoring and providing technical leadership across engineering teams.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Drive architectural decisions that balance innovation with scalability, performance, and maintainability
  • Partner with senior stakeholders to align technical priorities with business goals
  • Provide technical guidance and mentorship to junior engineers, helping them sharpen their craft in performance, accessibility, and maintainability
Requirements:
  • 8+ years of professional frontend engineering experience
  • Deep understanding of frontend performance optimisation, server-side rendering, and static-site generation
  • Proficiency with Tailwind CSS and CSS architecture for maintainable, performant UI
  • Strong knowledge of TypeScript, modern JavaScript, and frontend tooling (Webpack, Vite, Babel)
  • Experience defining and enforcing coding standards, linting rules, and CI/CD pipelines (GitHub Actions or similar)
