At Yubup Primary School, we are seeking a dedicated and passionate learning specialist to join our team in 2025.

This is an exciting opportunity for the right individual to help shape our school and ensure it is the very best it can be for students, staff and the wider community as our school continues to grow and thrive.

The successful applicant will have a passion for teaching and learning, with a strong ability to design and deliver engaging and innovative programs that cater to the diverse needs of our students.

We are looking for someone who is able to work collaboratively as part of a team, build strong relationships with students, parents and colleagues, and contribute to the development and implementation of school policies and priorities.

Key Responsibilities
  • To plan, prepare and deliver high-quality educational programs that meet the diverse needs of students.
  • To assess student learning and progress, using data to inform teaching practice and provide feedback to students and parents.
  • To establish and maintain collaborative relationships with students, parents, colleagues and the broader school community to support student learning, agency, wellbeing and engagement.
  • To contribute to the development and implementation of school policies and priorities, and to reflect upon practice and engage in professional learning to continually improve the quality of teaching.
Selection Criteria
  1. Demonstrated knowledge of the relevant curriculum, including the ability to incorporate the teaching of literacy and numeracy skills.
  2. Demonstrated experience in planning for and implementing high-impact teaching strategies, guided by how students learn, and evaluating the impact of learning and teaching programs on student learning growth.
  3. Demonstrated experience in monitoring and assessing student learning, and using data to inform teaching practice and provide feedback to students and parents.
  4. Demonstrated interpersonal and communication skills, and experience in establishing and maintaining collaborative relationships with students, parents, colleagues and the broader school community to support student learning, agency, wellbeing and engagement.
  5. Demonstrated behaviours and attitudes consistent with Department values, and experience in reflecting upon practice and engaging in professional learning to continually improve the quality of teaching.
Desirable Skills and Qualifications
  • Demonstrated ability to use technology to enhance teaching and learning.
  • Demonstrated experience in mentoring and coaching other teachers to engage in critical reflection of their practice and improve student outcomes.
