About the Role
At BGIS, we are seeking a skilled and experienced Maintenance Handyman to join our team in the Ballina/Coffs Harbour/Northern NSW Region. As a key member of our operations team, you will be responsible for traveling to client sites to complete various maintenance and renovation tasks.
As a Maintenance Handyman with BGIS, you will have the opportunity to work on a diverse range of projects, including repairing counters, cabinets, benches, partitions, floors, doors, building frameworks, and trims. You will also be responsible for carrying out paintwork, tiling, replacing locks, and performing other related functions.
This role requires strong technical skills, attention to detail, and excellent communication skills. If you are a motivated and self-sufficient individual with experience working in a residential environment, we encourage you to apply.
Responsibilities
- Repairing and maintaining various fixtures and fittings within homes, including cabinets, countertops, and doors.
- Performing general maintenance tasks, such as painting, tiling, and lock replacement.
- Working at heights and using equipment such as ladders and scaffolding.
- Maintaining accurate records of work completed and submitting reports as required.
Requirements
- Certification III in Carpentry or equivalent qualification.
- Proven experience working in a residential environment.
- Demonstrated ability to work safely at heights and use relevant equipment.
- Excellent communication and problem-solving skills.
