Job Overview

Programmed is currently seeking a highly skilled Mine Site Shutdown Coordinator to join our South Australian team.

The ideal candidate will have previous mine site or refinery experience and possess strong leadership, interpersonal skills, and a demonstrated commitment to safety.

About the Role

This is an exciting opportunity for a seasoned professional to take on a key leadership role in our shutdown operations. As a Mine Site Shutdown Coordinator, you will be responsible for day-to-day management and deployment of allocated plant and equipment, resolving on-site coordination-related issues with site teams, and managing preparation and delivery of all safety-related documentation.

You will also manage subcontractors, ensuring work scope, variations, and other contractual obligations are met.

Key Responsibilities

Requirements
  • Australian Recognised Trade Certificate
  • Current Nationally Accredited Confined Space & Working at Heights
  • High-risk qualifications are highly regarded (Forklift, Elevated work platform, Rigging)
  • Mechanical or Fabrication Trade Certificate
Skills and Qualifications
  • Excellent working knowledge of workplace health and safety
  • Strong Leadership and interpersonal skills
  • Supervisory experience in the mining industry
  • Understanding of standards applicable to working within the resources sector
  • Mechanical aptitude that enables the completion of maintenance and inspection tasks
  • Ability to formulate business emails and quotations
  • A proactive and motivated approach while maintaining the ability to work under pressure
  • Flexibility to undertake various rosters/sites/locations
  • Strong negotiation and influencing skills and the ability to establish effective working relationships with a variety of people at different levels both internally and externally
  • Proficient skills in computers: MS Word, Excel, and Outlook
