About the Role

We are seeking a compassionate and dedicated Care Worker to join our team in the Canberra area. As a Care Worker, you will play a vital role in providing high-quality care and support to our customers, enabling them to live independently at home for longer.

Key Responsibilities
  • Provide domestic assistance, including cleaning and laundry, to ensure a safe and comfortable living environment for our customers.
  • Assist with meal preparation and shopping, ensuring our customers have access to nutritious food and groceries.
  • Offer social support and transport to lifestyle activities, helping our customers stay connected and engaged with their community.
  • Provide personal care, including bathing, dressing, and medication management, to support our customers' physical and emotional well-being.
  • Offer respite and emotional support to our customers and their families, providing a sense of relief and comfort.
  • Provide social support and transport to appointments, ensuring our customers can access essential services and maintain their independence.

Requirements
  • A current P1 class or above Australian Driver's License and a registered vehicle, as travel is an essential part of the role.
  • At least 6 months of experience in a similar role, with a strong focus on personal care and support.
  • The ability to work independently and find solutions to everyday problems, knowing when to ask for help when needed.
  • Availability to work at least 3 days a week, Monday to Friday, with no night or weekend work required.
What to Expect
