The Opportunity

This role presents a unique chance to drive growth and development in a dynamic coastal region.

As a leader, you will support councillors, staff, and the community in shaping a clear vision for a thriving and sustainable area. This position will foster a culture of continuous improvement, provide leadership, and promote local economic development at every opportunity.

The primary responsibility of this key role is overall leadership, direction, and accountability for the operations and functions of the organisation. This involves driving the development and delivery of strategic plans, policies, and governance frameworks while ensuring sound financial management.

You will ensure the organisation meets its obligations to the community and delivers on its commitments.

About the Leader

A highly respected leader with a history of guiding organisations through periods of change is required. You will have built cultures that you and the organisation are proud of and be firmly focused on outcomes.

Excellent communication and advocacy skills are essential, along with the ability to develop effective partnerships with internal and external stakeholder groups.

Familiarity with relevant legislation within the Local Government context is desirable, as is knowledge and understanding of changing social, political, and economic issues facing the sector.

This leader will play a pivotal role in the organisation's growth and transformation.
