Role Summary

We are seeking a skilled Fitter Armourer to join our Defence Maintenance Contract team based at Irwin Barracks in Karrakatta, WA.

The successful candidate will perform maintenance, servicing, repairs and preventative maintenance on military hardware and Defence armaments.

Key Responsibilities
  • Perform maintenance, servicing, repairs and preventative maintenance on military hardware and Defence armaments.
  • Safely operate machinery to repair, manufacture or modify required parts.
  • Certify plant and equipment as serviceable and fit for purpose.
  • Provide occasional support to various Defence Bases across the state, assisting with Armoury maintenance.
Required Skills and Qualifications
  • Possess a Trade Certificate III Engineering Mechanical (Fitter & Turner) or Certificate III Engineering Mechanic (General Fitter).
  • Hold valid Australian Driver's License.
  • Physically fit and enjoy hands-on work.
  • Must be an Australian Citizen and able to maintain a Defence Security Clearance.
