Fostering Connections Through Social Visits

A regular visit from you could bring great joy to an elderly person in our care.
We are seeking kind-hearted volunteers to make a positive impact on the lives of older people in our community. As a social visitor, you will be matched with an elderly person who would appreciate your company and conversation. Your visits could include a walk, a cuppa, or a trip to the café for coffee and cake.
This role is ideal for someone who enjoys making new friends and building relationships. You will have the opportunity to learn about the client's life story, share your own experiences, and help reduce feelings of loneliness and isolation.
Benefits of this role include:

Requirements:
- 18 years or older
- National Volunteer Police Check arranged and paid for by us
- Working with Vulnerable people check
We would be happy to discuss a suitable time during the week for a one hour visit between 9am and 4pm Monday to Sunday. Visits could be weekly to fortnightly depending on your availability.
By volunteering as a social visitor, you can make a real difference in the life of an older person.
