Job Title

A supportive and dynamic individual is required to provide exceptional care and support to our service users in a mental health setting.

The successful candidate will be responsible for ensuring the rights of service users are respected, maintaining high standards of hygiene and dignity, and assisting with daily routines and activities.

Key responsibilities include observing service users to ensure a safe environment, safeguarding them from harm, and promoting positive outcomes. The ideal candidate will also encourage a culture of self-care and service user rehabilitation, fostering growth and empowerment.

Additional duties may include systematically resolving day-to-day challenges, collaborating with multidisciplinary health teams, and contributing to the design and administration of evaluations. If applicable, the candidate may also assist in medication administration, ensuring accuracy and adherence to protocols.

Requirements
  • Demonstrates empathy and compassion when interacting with service users and colleagues.
  • Possesses at least 6 months' experience working in a similar mental health setting, showcasing transferable skills and knowledge.
  • Displays flexibility and adaptability, with a willingness to adjust to changing circumstances.
  • Ability to work varied shifts/rota patterns, including evenings, weekends and public holidays.
  • Effective written and verbal communication skills for building strong relationships with colleagues and service users.
  • NVQ Level 2 or equivalent in Health & Social Care is desirable, but not necessarily required.
