About the Role

The Senior Pharmacist - Inpatient Services is a critical leadership position focused on operational services of the inpatient dispensary at Alfred Health. This role maintains central communication between dispensaries, pharmacy department, wards, clinics, and ancillary support services to ensure timely, efficient, and economical medication access for patients.

As a key member of the Senior Operations Group, you will review service provisions and developments within the area, providing operational support in the Inpatient Dispensary, Outpatient Dispensary, and Pharmacy Aseptics.

Key Responsibilities
  • Serve as a leader and supervisor of relevant pharmacy staff in their daily responsibilities
  • Maintain compliance with pharmacy and hospital procedures related to dispensing, drug formulary, and drug guidelines
Required Skills and Qualifications

This position requires:

  • Demonstrated leadership and decision-making skills
  • Strong knowledge in pharmacotherapeutics and pharmacoeconomics
  • A patient-centred approach to healthcare
  • Prior experience in managing staff, change, and service development
  • Excellent communication and time management skills with ability to prioritise, plan, organise, and deliver to deadlines
  • Effective collaboration with multidisciplinary teams
Compensation and Benefits

The estimated salary range for this position is $120,000 - $180,000 per annum, based on industry standards and qualifications. Additional benefits include:
