The successful candidate will be responsible for leading and managing tailings storage facility projects from conception to completion, ensuring that technical, safety, and environmental standards are met.

Key Responsibilities
  • Developing detailed designs, plans, and specifications for tailings storage facilities and associated infrastructure.
  • Providing expert technical guidance on tailings management, risk assessment, and monitoring practices.
  • Conducting site visits and inspections to oversee construction and operational activities.
  • Collaborating with clients, contractors, and regulatory bodies to ensure compliance with applicable regulations and best practices.
  • Mentoring and guiding junior engineers and team members, fostering professional growth and development.
Requirements
  • A degree in Civil, Geotechnical, or Mining Engineering, or a related field.
  • Extensive experience in tailings design, construction, and management.
  • Strong knowledge of industry standards, regulations, and risk management practices in tailings management (e.g., ICMM standards, GISTM).
  • Proficiency in engineering software such as GeoStudio, AutoCAD, or similar tools.
  • Demonstrated leadership skills with the ability to manage multidisciplinary teams and complex projects.
  • Excellent problem-solving, organizational, and communication skills.
