Job Summary

We are seeking an experienced Structural Design Engineer to join our Resources and Materials Engineering Business Group. As a key member of our team, you will be responsible for delivering high-quality structural design solutions for a range of projects, including process and non-process infrastructure.

Key Responsibilities

  • Undertake site inspections, investigations, and scoping of projects to identify design requirements and constraints.
  • Contribute to study phases, including concept designs for process and non-process infrastructure, and detailed structural analysis and design for new infrastructure and remedial works.
  • Develop and maintain technical reports, following client or GHD guidelines, to document design solutions and project outcomes.
  • Collaborate with colleagues to develop and implement GHD's knowledge and skills in structural engineering, including planning, design, and construction.

Requirements

  • Degree-qualified Structural or Civil Engineer with a minimum of 7 years of experience in the design of steel and concrete structures.
  • Experience with Space Gass, Strand7, and ANSYS analysis software is highly regarded.
  • Background in the resources sector, particularly with WA's Iron Ore Producers or major miners, is well regarded.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively in a team environment.
  • Strong attention to detail and self-motivation to deliver high-quality results.
