Job Description

Job Title: Principal Technical Change Manager

Job Summary: We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Principal Technical Change Manager to join our team at The State of Queensland. As a key member of our organization, you will be responsible for ensuring the smooth implementation of Information Communication Technology (ICT) changes that impact our day-to-day operations.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Procedural Oversight: Provide procedural oversight for ICT requests for change that impact our business operations.
  • Standardized Procedures: Ensure that standardized procedures are used for handling all ICT Requests for Changes (RFC) to control IT infrastructure and ensure visibility/analysis of ICT changes through the Change Advisory Board (CAB) cycle.
  • Technical Experience: Possess technical experience and skills to support the change activities of frontline services to achieve required organizational outcomes, in line with approved and documented processes and procedures.
  • Stakeholder Engagement: Demonstrate the ability to work independently with minimal supervision, and to respond positively and flexibly to change and uncertainty, taking personal responsibility for meeting objectives and progressing work, showing initiative and attention to detail.
  • Communication: Demonstrate skills in cultivating productive relationships and effectively engaging, communicating, consulting, and negotiating with a diverse group of internal and external stakeholders.
  • Reporting: Prepare, collate data, and present quality advice, briefings, and reports to a wide range of stakeholders and demonstrate the proven ability to influence strategic outcomes.
Requirements:
  • Desirable Qualifications: Possess a certification in the ITIL Framework (IT Infrastructure Library).
  • Desirable Skills: Have experience and be competent in the use of ITSM platforms including Service Now, BOSS, and Jira.
