Job Title: Supply Chain Optimisation Manager

We are seeking a highly experienced and skilled Supply Chain Optimisation Manager to lead inventory operations at our Distribution Centre in Western Australia. As part of our cross-functional team, you will play a critical role in ensuring inventory accuracy, optimising warehouse performance, and aligning local operations with national supply chain strategy.

The successful candidate will take ownership of product slotting, pick path optimisation, and warehouse space utilisation. Using data-led insights and regular performance reviews, they will drive operational improvements that ensure our DC remains safe, compliant, and highly efficient.

You will work closely with our operations, supply chain, and procurement teams to implement best practices and address state-specific challenges. From onboarding new product lines to managing the exit of slow-moving stock, your expertise will help streamline processes and maximise space and efficiency.

Your key responsibilities will include:

  • Ensuring accurate allocation of products to pick slots based on handling characteristics, sales trends, and operational efficiency; regularly reviewing and adjusting slot types, locations, and picking paths.
  • Managing the introduction of new product lines and the exit of obsolete or slow-moving items to maintain safe and efficient warehouse operations.
  • Tracking pick slot capacity and utilisation, conducting regular health checks and identifying areas for improvement.
  • Providing actionable recommendations to improve warehouse layout, pick slot configurations, and product handling practices.
  • Developing and leading structured cycles for reviewing and enhancing pick paths and slotting to align with broader operational strategies.
  • Overseeing cycle counting processes, ensuring audit compliance, and identifying opportunities to improve inventory reporting and data integrity.
  • Partnering with operations, supply chain, and procurement teams to implement best practices and address regional challenges.
  • Supporting training, mentoring, and continuous improvement initiatives to build team capabilities and align with national inventory management goals.
