Procurement and Contracts Manager, Major Projects

Job Description:

This is a pivotal opportunity for a procurement professional to contribute to nation-shaping projects, influence strategy, and build strong relationships with clients, suppliers, and project partners.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Develop procurement strategies for complex infrastructure projects.
  • Manage end-to-end procurement, subcontracting, and vendor engagement across bid and mobilisation phases.
  • Partner with project leaders, bid teams, and technical experts to deliver commercially sound solutions.
  • Negotiate and execute major subcontract packages and manage supplier performance to ensure project success.
  • Incorporate ESG and sustainability initiatives into procurement strategies.
Requirements:
  • Over 10 years of experience in project procurement in the energy, infrastructure or resources sector.
  • Proven success in leading high-value bids and tenders.
  • Experience with complex procurement models, subcontracting and international supply chain management.
  • Strong negotiation, relationship management and influencing skills.
  • Relevant tertiary qualifications in commerce, engineering, construction or related field.
