About the Role

This is a casual opportunity to join our team as a Catering Assistant at an aged care residence on the Central Coast.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Assist with food preparation and presentation, ensuring exceptional standards of quality and safety.
  • Deliver outstanding customer service by serving residents meals and snacks in a friendly and efficient manner.
  • Maintain high standards of food hygiene and safety practices, adhering to relevant guidelines and regulations.
  • Collaborate effectively with colleagues to provide fast and efficient service during busy periods.
  • Prepare and present texture modified foods as required, catering to individual needs and preferences.

Requirements:

  • Previous experience in kitchens, food preparation, or customer service, demonstrating ability to work well under pressure and meet deadlines.
  • Able to work independently and as part of a team, providing support and assistance when needed.
  • Pride in personal appearance and hygiene, maintaining a clean and organized workspace.
  • Previous experience in aged care (desirable but not essential), with knowledge of relevant policies and procedures.
