**Job Description:**

The successful candidate will be responsible for assisting in driver sign-in and shift end, coordinating vehicle and other equipment assignments, in accordance with contractual obligations and company policies and procedures. This role requires excellent communication skills, attention to detail, and the ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment.

**Key Responsibilities:**

  • Scheduling and Coordination: Provides manifests to drivers upon report; assigns vehicles, radios, and other equipment
  • Record Keeping: Accurately records driver shift start and end through VDS, Trapeze, and/or any other designated programs or procedures
  • Communication: Coordinates vehicle needs and availability with maintenance, road supervisors, and operations
  • Customer Service: Monitors stand-by drivers; coordinates with Dispatch for their need and potential assignment to routes; relieves from duty when not required

**Requirements:**

  • Education: High school diploma or equivalent, such as GED, required
  • Experience: One to two years of dispatch and/or customer service experience preferred
  • Skills: Ability to organize logical and efficient schedules and routes and adapt to changes; ability to read, comprehend, and understand a map; ability to read, understand, and interpret transit system operating rules, regulations, policies, phases, and routes
