We are seeking a highly skilled Linux Engineer to join our team at Fujitsu. As a key member of our IT infrastructure team, you will be responsible for designing, testing, and deploying Red Hat Enterprise Linux (RHEL) operating systems, integrating them with VMware virtualization platforms and other technologies.

Key Responsibilities
  • Develop and operate an integrated RHEL server platform, including RHEL IdM and Satellite.
  • Design, test, and deploy new versions of the RHEL operating system, building and maintaining system images.
  • Integrate RHEL operating systems with VMware virtualization platforms and other technologies.
  • Integrate and support management and security software and configurations for RHEL environments.
  • Provide server automation to streamline operations and improve efficiency.
  • Implement regular checks to confirm system status, including hardware and software.
  • Develop and operate backup and recovery services for virtualized RHEL systems.
  • Troubleshoot and resolve RHEL issues promptly to minimize downtime.
Requirements
  • Minimum NV1 clearance, ideally NV2 or PV.
  • A background in Defence or Federal Government highly desirable.
  • Proficiency in RHEL server platforms, including RHEL IdM and Satellite.
  • Experience in designing, testing, and deploying RHEL operating systems.
  • Knowledge of integration with VMware virtualization platforms and other technologies.
  • Strong troubleshooting and problem-solving skills.
  • Familiarity with server automation tools and techniques for Linux environments.
  • Effective communication and collaboration skills.
  • Attention to detail and commitment to delivering high-quality Linux solutions.
