Service Technician

This role involves maintaining and repairing wind turbines, as well as supporting equipment and vehicles. It requires strong technical skills, including knowledge of electrical and mechanical systems.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Maintain and repair wind turbines to ensure efficient operation and safety.
  • Support equipment and vehicles by performing routine maintenance tasks.
  • Respond to reactive maintenance requests, attending site outside normal working hours when necessary.
  • Ensure all work is carried out in accordance with company health and safety procedures.

The successful applicant will have a recognised Australian trade certificate and relevant experience in the field. They must also be able to read and interpret technical drawings to support fault-finding and maintenance activities.

Requirements:
  • A Grade Electrical License or equivalent qualification.
  • Relevant mechanical trade certificate or experience.
  • GWO training and certification.
  • Literate with PC and modern technologies to support day-to-day work.
  • Ability to read and interpret technical drawings.
  • Knowledge of PLC and/or SCADA systems (advantageous).
  • Motivation to learn new skills and thrive in a dynamic environment.
  • Understanding of safety principles and willingness to adhere to and drive safety compliance.
  • Experience with HV/LV, hydraulics, and mechanical systems in residential, commercial, and industrial environments.
  • Proficient in the use of various hand tools.
  • Strong communication skills and ability to work in a team environment.
  • Ability to work at heights in confined spaces.
