About the Role

The Australian Broadcasting Corporation (ABC) is seeking a highly skilled Senior Storage Engineer to join our Enterprise Technology team. This exciting opportunity will see you play a key role in managing assigned projects and providing support relating to ABC's storage infrastructure.

As a Senior Storage Engineer, you will be responsible for developing and maintaining ABC's Storage infrastructure, including Storage Area Networks (SAN), Network Attached Storage (NAS), storage arrays, fibre switches, data protection and other storage services.

You will provide technical leadership to the team, explore new technologies, and proactively identify and implement improvements to modernise Storage capabilities.

Key responsibilities include:

  • Developing and maintaining ABC's Storage infrastructure
  • Providing technical leadership to the team
  • Exploring new technologies and implementing improvements
  • Managing assigned projects within agreed timeframes
  • Providing progress reports and management reports

The ideal candidate will have significant experience in the implementation, configuration and administration of enterprise-grade storage hardware and backup solutions, with a detailed understanding of storage infrastructure, including SAN, NAS, storage virtualisation, data protection and replication technologies.

Demonstrated experience in the design, implementation, management and support of Ansible, Power Shell and/or Unix shell scripting is also highly regarded.
