
PCB Assembly Quality Control Specialist

Job Summary
We are seeking a highly skilled Quality Inspector to join our team. The successful candidate will be responsible for performing thorough inspections of PCB assemblies, plastic and sheet metal parts, sub-assemblies, and other electronic and electro-mechanical components.
Key Responsibilities
- Inspect products to ensure materials meet customer dimensional and cosmetic requirements.
- Provide feedback to Engineers and record data in log books and internal databases.
- Maintain drawings and procedures from Mack systems.
- Perform inspections on various production lines if necessary.
- Conduct visual inspections of PCB assemblies at various stages, utilizing IPC-A-610 standards, visual aids, BOMs, procedures, and instructions.
- Manage rework processes and confirm completion.
- Coordinate documentation for first article inspections per P.O. and customer expectations.
- Perform segments of first article inspection and process audits in accordance with internal documentation such as AMS, MOI, and VIP.
- Ensure proper staging and processing of products.
- Conduct customer quality assurance inspections as required.
- Use and verify routers in IQS software.
- Read and verify P.O. and drawing requirements.
- Follow ISO and job-specific procedures.
- Maintain ESD integrity in the production environment.
- Keep work area clean and organized.
- Ensure accuracy of work-in-process.
- Participate in training and potentially train other employees.
Requirements
- Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience.
- At least 3 years of inspection experience in electronics manufacturing, preferably PCB assembly.
- IPC-A-600 / 610 / 620 Certification required.
- Experience operating a 3D Automated Optical Inspection (3DAOI) machine.
- Ability to perform inspections based on blueprints and procedures.
- Understanding of electro-mechanical tools and basic hand tools.
- Ability to interpret detailed drawings, schematics, and diagrams.
- Experience with ERP systems.
- Basic computer skills, problem-solving, and mathematical skills.
- Good organizational, reading, writing, and communication skills.
- Self-motivated with high accuracy and attention to detail.
- Experience with high-volume work and multitasking in a dynamic environment.
- Effective team communication skills.
- ESD Training.
- ISO 9001 experience is a plus.
- Willingness to work flexible hours.
- Must be a US Person as defined in 22 CFR Part 120.15, due to ITAR requirements.
