Job Description

We're looking for a skilled professional to lead our release and incident management efforts. As a key member of our IT Service Management Organisation, you'll be responsible for managing IT Operations and releases from incident and change management process to client reporting on the platform's state.

Your role will involve ensuring every release is assembled and documented correctly, with associated signoffs received. You'll also work with vendors to prevent changes from impacting clients and environments.

You'll help teams prioritise and triage incidents, ensuring prompt resolution. You'll be responsible for uplifting Process and tooling as well as documentation.

Key Responsibilities
  • Release Planning: Collaborate with development teams and product managers to plan and schedule software releases, considering dependencies and risks
  • Coordinate and orchestrate the release process, ensuring necessary tasks are completed
  • Oversee testing of software releases
  • Manage deployment of software releases to various environments (development, staging, production)
  • Communicate release plans, schedules, and potential impacts to internal teams, customers, and vendors
  • Monitor performance and stability of released software
  • Maintain comprehensive release documentation
  • Identify opportunities for improving the release process, implementing best practices, and automating tasks to enhance efficiency and reduce risks
  • Assess and prioritise incoming incidents based on severity, impact, and urgency, ensuring critical issues are addressed promptly
  • Coordinate and lead the incident response process, assembling necessary teams and resources to investigate, diagnose, and resolve the incident effectively
  • Facilitate root cause analysis to identify underlying causes and implement preventive measures to mitigate future occurrences
  • Ensure thorough documentation of all incidents, including details of the issue, resolution steps, and lessons learned, for future reference and knowledge sharing
  • Conduct post-incident reviews to analyse the incident response process, identify areas for improvement, and implement corrective actions to enhance incident management practices
