The primary purpose of this role is to maintain electrical equipment and ensure efficient operation. You will be responsible for maintaining stock levels of electrical goods, sourcing components as required, and implementing cost-saving initiatives.
Key Responsibilities:- Maintain site safety standards
- Ensure correct Safety Lockouts
- Train and coach staff members
- Implement safety and control measures
- Detect and diagnose faults
- Sourcing components
- Organize installation work
- Liaise with onsite contractors
- Manage installations, tests, and commissioning of machinery
- Diagnose, maintain, and repair electrical and electronic equipment, networks, and systems
- Read electrical diagrams and specifications to determine job requirements
- Select, cut, and connect wire and cable to terminals and connectors
- Use test instruments to trace and diagnose faults, repairing or replacing faulty wiring and defective parts
- Position and install electrical switchboards
- Connect electrical systems and equipment to power supplies
- Test continuity of circuits to ensure safety and electrical characteristics
- Install, test, and adjust electric and mechanical parts of equipment
Requirements:
- 10+ years of experience in industrial electrical maintenance within the plastics industry
- Technical hands-on ability in factory automation solutions
- Specialization in advanced products, including machine vision inspection systems, PLC/HMI programming, and robotic programming
