As a key member of our team, you will provide holistic and trauma-informed support to young people accessing residential services, helping them to achieve positive outcomes aligned with our service contracts and values.

About the Role

This is a unique opportunity to work with a dynamic team and make a real difference in the lives of young people. As a Residential Youth Worker, you will be responsible for developing relationships with young people, supporting them to progress towards their goals, and providing guidance on life skills. You will also be involved in meal preparation, monitoring personal care and hygiene, and facilitating educational groups and recreational activities.

Requirements
  • A degree in Psychology or Social Welfare, or a minimum of Certificate IV in Youth Work or Community Services with at least three years' experience in a similar role
  • Demonstrated experience providing support and crisis intervention
  • Strong knowledge of behaviour management and capacity to set boundaries and limits in a residential setting
  • Availability for 12-hour shifts covering a 7-day roster, including night and day shifts, weekends, and public holidays
  • Ability to work collaboratively as part of a team to provide positive outcomes
  • Demonstrated professional approach to maintaining professional boundaries
  • Full driver's license with no restrictions
