We are looking for a highly experienced criminal lawyer to join our team as a senior advocate. The successful candidate will provide high-quality legal advice and representation to clients, conduct complex criminal casework management, and participate in professional legal education.

This is a unique opportunity for an experienced criminal lawyer to develop their leadership and mentoring skills while contributing to the strategic direction of the program focused on improving services provided to priority clients.

Responsibilities:

  • Conducting complex litigation in all Victorian jurisdictions
  • Negotiating and communicating effectively with staff, clients, and other stakeholders
  • Leading, mentoring, supervising, and training staff

Requirements:

  • Extensive knowledge and experience in the practice of criminal law
  • Ability to perform duties without direct supervision
  • Current Australian practising certificate entitling you to practise in Victoria as a government legal practitioner
