About the RoleWe are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Registered Nurse to join our team. As a Registered Nurse, you will be responsible for providing exceptional patient care, managing clinical duties, and ensuring the smooth operation of our medical services.
Key Responsibilities- Perform clinical duties within required level of clinical competency, according to best available evidence
- Explain your position and procedures to patients, ensuring consent, providing them with support and reassurance
- Duties include triage, immunisations and other injections; wound management, chronic disease management, health assessments for target group of individuals, ECG's, spirometry and collection of pathology samples
- Assist doctors with patient care and clinical procedures
- Maintain accurate clinical documentation
- Ideally minimum of one year's nursing experience, preferably in a community-based role
- Experience in similar roles as practice nurse or community-based nursing. Back ground or training in emergency nursing or occupational health nursing highly beneficial
- Demonstrated understanding of the needs of general practice and interest and commitment to community-based nursing including patient education, health promotion and lowering patient risk outcomes
- Knowledge of current immunisation schedules, diabetes management, asthma management, enhanced primary care items, infection control, CPR and emergency resuscitation techniques, equipment and drugs
- Competence in the use of relevant equipment and software (desirable)
- Sound knowledge of current legislation, practice standards, policies, and procedures
- Demonstrated verbal and written communication skills, including a sound knowledge and understanding of relevant health related information systems
