Senior Hand Therapist

We are seeking an experienced and passionate physiotherapist to join our team in Melbourne. As a key member of our team, you will play a crucial role in assessing, diagnosing, and treating patients with hand and upper extremity injuries or conditions.
You will work closely with patients to develop personalised treatment plans aimed at restoring function, mobility, and strength to their hands and arms. Your expertise and compassionate care will make a significant impact on our patients' lives as they journey towards recovery.
Key Responsibilities:- Conduct comprehensive assessments of patients with hand and upper extremity conditions, utilising your advanced clinical skills and knowledge.
- Develop individualised treatment plans tailored to each patient's needs and goals, incorporating evidence-based practices and techniques.
- Provide hands-on therapy, exercises, and manual techniques to improve mobility, strength, and function, fostering a positive and supportive environment for patients.
- Educate patients on self-management techniques and home exercises to enhance recovery, promoting independence and empowerment.
- Collaborate with other healthcare professionals, such as physicians and occupational therapists, to ensure holistic care and optimal patient outcomes.
- Maintain accurate and up-to-date patient records and progress notes, adhering to industry standards and best practices.
To be successful in this role, you will require:
- A Bachelor's or Master's degree in Physiotherapy from an accredited institution.
- Current registration and licensure with the Physiotherapy Board of Australia.
- Specialisation or experience in Hand Therapy is highly desirable, with a strong understanding of relevant anatomy, physiology, and biomechanics.
- Excellent clinical assessment and hands-on therapy skills, with a focus on precision, accuracy, and attention to detail.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills, enabling effective collaboration and rapport-building with patients, colleagues, and other healthcare professionals.
- Ability to work effectively both independently and as part of a multidisciplinary team, contributing to a positive and productive work environment.
We offer a competitive salary package commensurate with experience, including:
- An estimated annual salary range of $80,000 - $120,000 AUD, based on qualifications and location.
