The Licensed B2 Aircraft Maintenance Engineer plays a crucial role in ensuring the safety and airworthiness of aircraft. This position is essential for maintaining the high standards of Textron Aviation, a leader in the aviation industry.
Key Responsibilities:
- Adhere to and maintain a thorough understanding of the Textron manuals and the procedures outlined within.
- Ensure compliance with company policies and procedures at all times.
- Prioritize safety as a fundamental value, contributing to a zero-harm environment through active participation in safety programs.
- Report safety-related issues in accordance with the Safety Management System (SMS) and recommend improvements for safety and efficiency.
- Supervise unqualified maintenance staff to ensure adherence to safety and quality standards.
- Complete all aircraft certification paperwork accurately and within required deadlines.
- Issue Maintenance Releases in accordance with established guidelines.
- Prepare detailed and accurate reports for logs, inspections, and parts documentation.
- Conduct diagnostic and mechanical tasks on various aircraft models, including troubleshooting malfunctions and performing necessary repairs.
- Maintain a strong knowledge of inspection procedures as outlined in aircraft maintenance manuals.
- Perform all duties in alignment with the latest safety standards to ensure aircraft reliability and safety.
- Certify maintenance activities within the scope of delegated authority.
- Comply with all Civil Aviation Safety Authority Regulations and maintenance standards.
- Ensure high-quality maintenance and repairs to meet operational requirements.
- Participate in aircraft recovery operations as needed.
- Maintain cleanliness and organization of the hangar, tools, and ground equipment.
- Follow all lawful instructions from the Chief Engineer and Engineering Manager.
Qualifications:
The ideal candidate for the Licensed B2 Aircraft Maintenance Engineer position will possess:
- A CASA license for at least one category of aircraft relevant to the role.
- Strong leadership and communication skills.
- Excellent written and verbal communication abilities.
- A professional demeanor that is acceptable to the Chief Engineer and Engineering Manager.
