We are seeking a highly skilled Project Engineer to join our team on the HumeLink West Project, a major energy infrastructure project in regional NSW.

About the Role:

  • Provide technical and administrative coordination for the design, supply, construction, and testing phases.
  • Oversee the interface between UGL Civil/Electrical/Structural design engineers and Civil design consultants.
  • Track project progress and assist the Planning and Construction Management Team in updating plans.
  • Conduct schedule and cost vs. budget forecasting.
  • Ensure procurement aligns with the allocated budget.
  • Mentor, supervise, and manage direct reports.
  • Ensure compliance with drawings and customer requirements.
  • Lead meetings and technical discussions with clients.
  • Assist the Project Manager with UGL Management System compliance and prepare Inspection and Test Plans with the Quality Manager.
  • Ensure all work complies with UGL's Quality Management Systems and ISO 9001:2008 requirements.

Requirements:

  • Tertiary Engineering Qualification.
  • RPEQ certification is desirable.
  • Knowledge of AS 9001 Quality Systems.
  • 5-10 years' experience in project-related disciplines, preferably in utilities, transmission/substation, and energy sectors.
  • Strong communication, negotiation, and influencing skills.
  • Demonstrated ability to manage multiple complex tasks in a fast-paced environment.
  • Proficient in MS Word, Excel, Access, MS Project, and email.
