Underground Coal Mine Planning Specialist

This role offers an exciting opportunity to join a successful team at Mastermyne, a leader in underground coal mining. Based in the Bowen Basin QLD, this position will provide scheduling and planning support for our project.
Job DescriptionThe ideal candidate will assist with planning and scheduling scopes of works for a major underground coal mine, reporting directly to our Technical Services Manager on site. We prefer local candidates, and there are benefits available to incentivize those who live in or would like to relocate to the Central Highlands.
An experienced Mining Engineer is required to coordinate activities across various teams, ensuring seamless execution of projects. Key responsibilities include:
- Assisting with planning and scheduling tasks;
- Developing and implementing effective project management strategies;
- Maintaining accurate records and reports;
- Collaborating with internal stakeholders to achieve project objectives;
- Evaluating and mitigating risks associated with project execution.
To be successful in this role, you must have:
- A Tertiary Qualification - Mining Engineer;
- Demonstrated Post-Graduate Experience;
- Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written;
- Ability to foster strong relationships with internal and external stakeholders;
- Competency using a variety of computer software programs including Microsoft Office Suite;
- Prior experience with mine design and scheduling software.

- A competitive annual salary range of AU$120,000 - AU$150,000, depending on experience;
