Senior Lecturer in Histopathology

  • Job Description

We are seeking a highly qualified and experienced Senior Lecturer in Histopathology to join our team. The successful candidate will lead teaching and research in the Medical Laboratory Science program, driving excellence in both education and scholarly output.

Key Responsibilities
  • Contribute to learning and teaching practices in histopathology and related biomedical science disciplines;
  • Undertake and publish high-impact research;
  • Play a part in successful competitive research grant applications; and
  • Contribute to course coordination, student supervision, academic governance, and school-level initiatives that support student experience and success.
Required Skills and Qualifications
  • Academic and professional qualifications in Medical Laboratory Science;
  • Completion of a doctoral qualification in a relevant field or equivalent standing (e.g. AIMS Fellowship);
  • Substantial histopathology diagnostic experience in a clinical or pathology service environment;
  • Demonstrated teaching experience in higher education, including course coordination;
  • An established track record in research, including refereed publications and research supervision;
  • Membership of, and sound connections with, relevant professional bodies (e.g. AIMS, HGA); and
  • Evidence of ongoing professional development and academic contributions to institutional culture and governance.
