Are you a retail professional looking for a leadership challenge? We are seeking an experienced and customer-focused leader to join our team as a Retail Assistant Manager.

This role is based at various locations across Northern Queensland, Australia. As a Retail Assistant Manager, you will play a key role in supporting the daily operations of the store, leading the team, and delivering exceptional customer service.

  • Supporting the Site Manager in all aspects of store operations
  • Leading the team to achieve sales targets and operational excellence
  • Maintaining a high standard of customer service and ensuring a positive shopping experience

The ideal candidate will have experience in a similar role, excellent communication skills, and the ability to motivate and lead a team. You will also be physically capable of lifting heavy items and standing for extended periods.

As a Retail Assistant Manager, you will be responsible for:

  • Staff rostering, mentoring, and training
  • Food preparation and handling
  • Volume cash handling and reconciliations
  • Merchandising, marketing, and stock management - receipting inward goods, lifting, restocking, and layout variations
