Job Overview:

We are seeking Civil Engineers with diverse experience to join our Dams team in Tasmania.

  • Providing expert technical services to clients on a wide range of dam-related projects, including feasibility studies, new design, and dam upgrade initiatives.
  • Leading the evaluation of existing dams' safety, spillways, embankments, and related structures; as well as conducting dam safety risk assessments and identifying mitigation strategies.
  • Participating in dam safety surveillance activities for major dam owners across Australia.
  • Engaging in client relationship management, business development, proposal creation, reporting, and technical analysis.
  • Supporting other disciplines, including geotechnical investigations and construction support.
Requirements:
  • Bachelor of Engineering Degree (Civil) or higher qualifications with relevant experience in dam design, construction, or safety assessment and management.
  • Eligibility for Engineers Australia membership (or already Chartered for senior roles).
  • Knowledge of designing various dam types, including embankment and concrete dams.
  • Understanding of elements such as spillway design, dam design, outlet and intake tower design, hydropower facilities, dam safety, risk assessments, and construction phase experience.
  • Experience with investigation and construction phase services, as well as an understanding of dam safety management practices and guidelines.
