Job Title: HSE Specialist

We are seeking a highly skilled HSE Specialist to join our team in Melbourne.

This site-based role will involve assisting the project team in executing blast furnace shutdowns and promoting a high safety culture. The successful candidate will build and sustain positive relationships with internal and external stakeholders, support incident investigations, and complete regular field auditing and training activities.

The ideal candidate will have previous site-based experience in a similar role, be solution-oriented, and able to manage multiple complex tasks simultaneously. Proficiency in Microsoft Office software and possession of relevant tickets (White Card, Confined Space, and Working at Heights) are essential.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Influence and lead operational teams to deliver a high safety culture and behaviour.
  • Support and complete effective incident investigations with internal stakeholders.
  • Complete regular field auditing, inductions, training, and other HSE operational activities as required.
  • Support risk register activities within business areas.
  • OCCUPATIONAL HYGIENE AND HSE ADVICE TO EMPLOYEES.

Requirements for Success:

  • Previous site-based experience in a similar role on a shutdown or major project.
  • Solution-orientated and able to manage multiple complex tasks simultaneously.
  • Computer literacy and proficiency in Microsoft Office software.
  • Relevant tickets (White Card, Confined Space & Working at Heights).
