Body Repair Painter Job Description

As a Body Repair Painter, you will be working with a collaborative team to achieve high-quality paint applications every time. The ideal candidate has a keen eye for detail, a passion for precision, and takes pride in their craftsmanship.

Key Responsibilities:
  • High-quality spray application of primers, sealers, basecoats, and clearcoats.
  • Confidently matching factory finishes.
  • Collaborating with Prep Staff and other Painters to meet work demands as a team.
  • Producing sprayed finishes with little or no dirt and a consistent gloss and texture matching the OEM finish without sanding and buffing.
Requirements:
  • 3+ years of experience refinishing cars in an automotive collision repair environment utilizing urethane based refinish systems.
  • Ability to produce sprayed finishes with little or no dirt and a consistent gloss and texture matching the OEM finish without sanding and buffing.
  • Willingness to work overtime if required.
  • Any certification in I-Car Australia is a plus.
  • Valid Driver's License with a good driving record.
  • Capability to read and comprehend automotive repair procedures.
  • Experience with operations and maintenance of hand and power tools, shop tools, test equipment.
  • Must be willing to train others.
  • Must be comfortable working in a collision shop environment.
