Job Summary

At Equifax, we're looking for a highly skilled Data Governance and Metadata Specialist to join our team.

This role is responsible for ensuring our solutions are built to meet business requirements, legislation, and best practices for data management.

The ideal candidate will have experience in developing and implementing data governance policies, processes, and controls, as well as strong business analysis and communication skills.

  • Design and implement metadata solutions to ensure robust data definitions are available in a central metadata repository.
  • Contribute to designing and improving data management, governance, and data architecture processes, including data lineage and data quality.
  • Design and implement data governance controls and operating models to ensure data management and governance policies and practices are met.
  • Consult and coach diverse teams on data management and governance practices.
  • Partner with stakeholders from business teams, including architects, BAs, Data & Analytics, Legal & Compliance, to get specialist advice and implement solutions.
  • Undertake data governance activities, including maintaining and updating metadata, business rules, and policies.
  • Conduct change management activities.

The successful candidate will have a Bachelor's degree in a related discipline, 5-7 years of analysis, product management, and/or consulting experience regarding data, including financial services data, and familiarity with Agile and other project management methods.
