The QuickSilver Group is Australia's leading Great Barrier Reef day cruise operator.

We are seeking a PADI qualified Dive Instructor to join our Operations Department in Port Douglas. The successful applicant will be responsible for providing diving instruction and guiding for passengers.

The role requires the provision of First Aid qualification, PADI Open Water diving instructors certification, Current PADI membership and insurance, and a current dive medical.

In addition, we are looking for an individual with experience in delivering educational reef interpretive commentary and ability to work well in a team environment.

As this position involves working on a boat, weekend work will apply. The successful applicant will be based out of our Port Douglas Operation.

Our company offers competitive salaries and benefits. Estimated salary: $90,000 - $120,000 per year, depending on qualifications and experience.

Responsibilities:

• Provide exceptional customer service to all passengers
• Conduct scuba diving lessons and guided tours
• Maintain a high level of knowledge about the reef and its ecosystem
• Work collaboratively with other team members to ensure smooth operations
• Meet performance targets and contribute to business growth

Requirements:

• PADI Open Water diving instructors certification
• Current PADI membership and insurance
• First Aid qualification
• Dive medical
• Elements of Shipboard Safety (or obtain within 6 months)
• Experience in delivering educational reef interpretive commentary
• Ability to work well in a team environment
• Fluent Mandarin language skills
