Heavy Diesel Mechanic Role

We are seeking a skilled Heavy Diesel Mechanic to join our team in Gunnedah. This is a permanent, full-time opportunity that comes with OEM training.

The successful candidate will be responsible for providing diagnostic, repair and maintenance services to multiple sites, shutdowns and customer fleets across mining and construction projects.

  • Key Responsibilities:
  • Diagnosing and maintaining Hitachi machinery
  • Responding to breakdowns and conducting diagnostics
  • Commissioning new equipment and completing required documentation
  • Maintaining strong relationships with customers, peers and departments

Requirements

  • Minimum Certificate III in Mobile Plant Mechanics or equivalent qualification
  • Experience as a diesel mechanic, particularly in OEM and excavator diagnostics is highly desirable
