Job Opportunity

We are seeking a compassionate and skilled Disability Support Worker to join our team.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Personal Care: Assist clients with daily living activities, including bathing, dressing, grooming, and toileting.
  • PEG Feeding: Support and assist the client with PEG feeding.
  • Manual Handling: Aid clients with mobility challenges through proper manual handling techniques and assisting with exercises.
  • Community Engagement: Support clients in participating in social, recreational, and community activities.
  • Domestic Duties: Assist with light housekeeping duties, meal preparation, and maintaining a safe and clean-living environment.
  • Behavioural Management: Handle clients with high behaviours, employing appropriate strategies to ensure their safety and well-being, including the use of restrictive practices.
  • Provide direct care assistance to each client in accordance with their service plan and as directed by the coordinator.
  • Ensure completion of appropriate documentation. Relevant information on support provided is to be recorded in client notes.
  • Work with clients, family/carers and other professionals to support the client's individual goals.
Requirements:
  • Australian Federal Police Clearance
  • CIII or CIV in Individual Support, Aged Care or Disability Services
  • PEG feeding experience preferred however training provided
  • Administering Nebuliser experience preferred however training provided
  • Current CPR/First Aid Certificate
  • NDIS Workers Screening Check and workers module
  • Current Australian Driver's Licence
  • Reliable, registered and insured vehicle (comprehensive insurance required)
  • Smartphone with internet access
