Your Opportunity

We are currently in search of a Lead Electrical Engineer to become part of our team. Reporting directly to the Electrical and Instrumentation Discipline Manager, you will engage in a continuous series of projects throughout their lifecycle, from initial concept development to detailed design, construction, commissioning, and operational phases. Your inaugural project with Primero will involve leading a Canadian Lithium initiative.

Your Key Responsibilities

  • Ensure that design outputs comply with the Design Procedure.
  • Produce design outputs that meet applicable legislation, standards, client, third-party, and project specifications.
  • Guarantee the technical compliance of design outputs.
  • Foster the development (coaching and mentoring) of team members within the discipline.
  • Ensure that design outputs are delivered within the project's budget and timeline.
  • Confirm that designs are suitable for their intended purpose, considering cost, constructability, operability, and maintainability.
  • Actively contribute to and review project schedules and budgets.
  • Provide insights for design tenders.

What You 'Can Do'

  • Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering (recognized by IEAust).
  • Over 10 years of experience in the mining/mineral processing or oil and gas industries.
  • Comprehensive knowledge and practical application of relevant industry codes of practice.
  • Ability to quickly understand and integrate project and client-specific requirements.
  • Advanced knowledge and practical application of design theories, principles, and practices.
  • Extensive experience in developing technical engineering documents, drawings, schedules, and models.
  • Innovative and adaptable approach to problem-solving, with the capability to analyze and resolve complex issues.
  • Site experience during construction and commissioning is preferred.
  • Proven track record of managing a team of design professionals.
