Nursing Assistant

We are seeking a highly motivated and compassionate Nursing Assistant to join our team at the Women's and Children's Health Network. As a Nursing Assistant, you will play a vital role in supporting our Enrolled and Registered Nurses in the delivery of general patient care and undertaking basic nursing duties.
Key Responsibilities- Provide person-centred care to patients, ensuring their physical, emotional, and social needs are met.
- Assist Enrolled and Registered Nurses with patient care, including administering medications, performing vital signs, and providing wound care.
- Contribute to a multidisciplinary team environment, working collaboratively with healthcare professionals to achieve optimal patient outcomes.
- Participate in ongoing education and training to enhance your skills and knowledge in patient care.
To be successful in this role, you must be enrolled as a student in an undergraduate program in Nursing (1st or 2nd year) and have completed any training required relevant to the safe and competent performance of work at this level.
As a Nursing Assistant, you will have:
- Effective verbal and written communication skills.
- The ability to work in a fast-paced environment and prioritize tasks efficiently.
- The ability to provide emotional support and empathy to patients and their families.
- An understanding of the role of the Nursing Assistant within the healthcare setting.
