Senior Tax Accountant Position

We are seeking an experienced Senior Tax Accountant to join our team. In this role, you will be responsible for preparing and lodging tax returns for individuals, businesses, corporates, and trusts.

You will also be required to deal with accounts and journalling across various tax matters including corporate, income tax, GST, FBT, payroll tax, withholding tax, and stamp duty.

Additionally, you will be tasked with keeping and reconciling high-quality working papers for client matters, providing supporting memoranda and research, and applying ATO rules.

Your key responsibilities will include:

  • Preparing and lodging tax returns for individuals, businesses, corporates, and trusts;
  • Dealing with accounts and journalling across various tax matters;

  • Directly communicating with clients to deliver exceptional service and develop your professional skills through CPDs and further education.

The ideal candidate will have:

  • 3+ years of experience in Australia as a public practice tax accountant;
  • A strong desire to learn and develop;
  • Ambition to grow your income;
  • Firm grasp of Australian tax fundamentals and accounting practices;
  • Confidence with Xero, MYOB, Quickbooks, and Microsoft Office;
  • A positive, personable manner when dealing with clients.
