Senior Fund Accountant

About the Role:
This is a senior-level position within our Fund Administration team, where you will be responsible for managing client accounts and serving as the primary point of contact for all matters related to the account.
Key Responsibilities:
- Act as the main liaison and point of contact for all matters relating to the account, ensuring seamless communication and coordination with clients, management, and junior staff.
- Review and approve work produced for submission to senior-level staff, ensuring high-quality output and adherence to regulatory requirements.
- Take part in the setup of alternative investment funds, collaborating with independent tax specialists, lawyers, and notaries to ensure compliance with regulatory requirements.
- Manage the day-to-day operations of the funds, including liaising with third parties, such as investors and fund managers, to ensure timely and accurate reporting.
- Prepare periodic reports and regulatory reports for the fund's entities, including the calculation of Net Asset Value and year-end financial statements.
- Coordinate investor servicing, including investor onboarding, capital calls, distributions, and the issuance of shareholder statements.
- Organize and participate in board meetings and shareholders' meetings, ensuring effective communication and decision-making.
- Review tax returns and tax balances, maintaining relevant contacts with tax authorities to ensure compliance with regulatory requirements.
Requirements:
- Hold a university degree in Accounting & Finance or Economics.
- Be a fully qualified Accountant (e.g., ACCA/CPAA/CIMA/ACA).
- Have 3 to 5 years of relevant experience in alternative investment fund administration, audit firms, or domiciliation.
- Be fluent in English.
- Possess strong team spirit, the ability to build strong client relationships, and take initiative to act without waiting for direction when appropriate.
