Key Responsibilities- Create a Safe and Supportive Environment: Foster a secure, nurturing environment for at-risk youth, promoting their physical, emotional, and psychological well-being.
- Empower Daily Living Skills: Assist with personal care, meals, and hygiene to promote independence and self-sufficiency.
- Facilitate Transportation and Activities: Ensure young people attend school, appointments, and community activities, promoting socialization and skill development.
- Promote Growth and Development: Encourage skill development and socialization within the local community, supporting young people to reach their full potential.
- Manage Health Needs: Administer medications and maintain accurate reporting, ensuring the health and well-being of young people in care.
- Deliver Trauma-Informed Care: Support youth with complex behaviors using trauma-informed approaches, promoting a safe and supportive environment.
- Hold (or be studying towards) a Certificate IV in Youth Work, Child, Youth and Family Intervention, Social Work, Disability Support Work or similar.
- Australian Drivers License (P2 or higher).
- NSW Working with Children Check.
- Current First Aid & CPR certificate.
- Covid-19 vaccination certificate.
- The ability to work a mixture of day, night and weekend shifts as required.
