About the Role

We are seeking an experienced Product Owner to join our Westpac Institutional Bank team. As a Product Owner, you will be responsible for driving the development of high-value, high-quality products within our Agile Execution Framework.

Key responsibilities will include:

  • Supporting the Product Manager in executing the overall product strategy
  • Managing product stakeholders and balancing customer and business needs
  • Working closely with the Squad CX lead to ensure customer-centered design
  • Ensuring products meet business controls and security requirements
  • Maximizing product value to customers and the division
  • Managing the product backlog
  • Supporting the squad
  • Collaborating with product partners and vendors

About You

To be successful in this role, you will have a strong financial services background, experience working in a large and complex organization, and experience working with senior stakeholders. You will also have experience working as a Product Owner in an Agile environment and have used tools like JIRA, Confluence, and Power BI.

You will have excellent communication skills, be able to lead and demonstrate value-add principles to a team, and be able to ensure Agile/Scrum concepts and principles are adhered to. You will also have high energy and celebrate successes within the team.
