The Co-Gen plant is an exemplary model of sustainable practices, diverting rejected materials from landfill and generating both steam and electricity.

Duties:

  • Assist in facilitating safe, reliable, low-cost steam supply for use in the paper making process.
  • Coordinate maintenance and reliability tasks, conduct efficiency assessments, and identify opportunities for improvement.
  • Implement strategies to enhance operational effectiveness, ensuring inventory levels are maintained and engaging suppliers as needed.
  • Provide technical support to the site, including participating in the 24/7 on-call roster.
  • Participate in regular maintenance activities and troubleshoot issues to ensure continuous plant operation.
  • Identify reliability improvement, energy efficiency, and cost control projects for implementation and other continuous improvement initiatives.

Required skills and qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in mechanical, chemical, or process engineering, or a related field.
  • Strong communication skills, enabling the ability to form strong relationships with stakeholders at all levels.
  • Strong computer proficiency.
  • Ability to thrive in a fast-paced environment and demonstrate mechanical aptitude and ability to troubleshoot complex production issues under pressure.
