The Role

As a Financial Planner at Capital Haus, you will play a critical role in servicing our existing client base while also developing new client relationships. You will work closely with our experienced stockbrokers and accountants to provide holistic financial planning advice, ensuring that clients receive high-quality, personalized solutions aligned with their financial goals.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Provide comprehensive financial planning advice, including wealth management, retirement planning, estate planning, and risk management.
  • Service an established client base (70% of the role) while also developing new business opportunities (30%).
  • Collaborate with stockbrokers and accountants within the firm to implement client strategies and optimize investment outcomes.
  • Recommend investment solutions directly to clients and oversee strategy implementation.
  • Build and maintain strong relationships with local accountants, lawyers, and referral partners to enhance client acquisition and retention.
  • Actively participate in networking events, business groups, and local chambers to strengthen Capital Haus's presence in Townsville.
  • Ensure compliance with ASIC and FASEA standards, adhering to all relevant financial planning regulations.
  • Utilize financial planning software, including Xplan, Praemium, Complii, and Openmarkets, to manage client portfolios effectively.
  • Work closely with the Head of Private Wealth to contribute to strategic business growth and development.

About You

To be successful in this role, you will have:

  • A minimum of Graduate Diploma of Financial Planning and FASEA compliance qualifications.
  • Experience in providing financial planning services to high-net-worth clients.
  • Strong knowledge of investment strategies, superannuation, estate planning, and alternative investments.
  • A proven ability to develop and grow a client base while maintaining exceptional service standards.
  • A proactive approach to networking and business development.
  • Excellent communication skills, with the ability to build trust and long-term relationships with clients and professional partners.
  • Familiarity with Xplan, Praemium, Complii, and Openmarkets.
