About the Role

We are seeking an experienced Project Manager to join our team on the Copperstring Project. As a key member of our project delivery team, you will be responsible for managing the transmission line and substations across the project.

Key Responsibilities
  • Manage anticipated release dates for access to work location and design information.
  • Facilitate innovation concepts that can improve the project for all stakeholders.
  • Connect with local communities and suppliers to maximise local business involvement in the project.
  • Plan, execute, and finalise projects for delivery to our clients.
  • Manage project teams to accurately and timely deliver projects according to schedule, budget, and scope.
  • Oversee quality control throughout the project life cycle and ensure we meet the project's objectives and deliverables.
  • Foster a safe and effective operation of the project through sound communication, promotion of Safety and Quality Assurance, technical assistance, and sound business practices.
Requirements
  • Extensive project management experience working within the utilities infrastructure sectors, focusing on power with a focus on High-Voltage Transmission Line and substation projects.
  • Relevant project management accreditation equivalent to Australian Institute Project Management (AIPM), PMBOK, Diploma, engineering, PMP, or equivalent.
  • Strong understanding and knowledge of construction principles in a multi-discipline contracting environment.
  • High level of business and commercial acumen backed by a sound ability to create, read, and interpret budgets, financial statements, and analyse variance reports.
  • 10 years of project management experience or equivalent.
  • Management of multidisciplinary projects and project teams.
  • Financial and commercial management, including cost reduction and meeting budgets.
  • People and performance management, including the performance of subcontractors.
  • Client relationship and stakeholder management.
  • Management of up to $100m projects.
  • Experience as Project Manager and/or Project Engineering.
  • Experience in managing a variety of contracts, e.g., Joint Ventures, Alliances, Design & Construct.
  • Pre-contracts experience in managing tenders as a Bid Manager for a range of projects.
