About the Role

As the Platform Product Owner - Data, you will be accountable for managing Suncorp Bank's data warehouse assets across platforms, including DB2 Warehouse on Cloud and data movement frameworks.

You'll work closely with delivery leads to develop product roadmaps, prioritise work, and consult with business and technology stakeholders on solutions that meet customer and business needs within risk appetite.

Your Day-to-Day

  • Lead a technical team to manage and optimise data warehouse platforms and data acquisition capabilities.
  • Develop SME knowledge across products.
  • Manage platform health through disaster recovery tests, patching, and access management.
  • Develop and maintain the roadmap for data warehouse capabilities with a focus on optimisation.
  • Manage and prioritise backlog of work.
  • Manage incidents with technical teams to ensure timely resolution.
  • Consult with business and technology stakeholders on platform capability and propose effective solutions.
  • Manage vendor relationships and contracts, including overseeing IBM relationships.
  • Contribute to the broader leadership team by fostering a high-performing team environment.

What We're Looking For

To succeed in this role, you'll bring:

  • Extensive technology experience, ideally within financial services.
  • Project delivery experience and proven leadership in a matrix structure.
  • Strong technical knowledge of data warehouse environments, with desired experience in IBM DB2 Warehouse on Cloud and Infosphere products.
  • Demonstrated expertise in change management, adaptability, and managing technology assets.
  • Excellent stakeholder and vendor management, internal consultation, and relationship-building skills.
  • Strong analytical, problem-solving, communication, and storytelling abilities, with a commercially savvy mindset.
