Overview


Semtech is a leading supplier of analog and mixed-signal semiconductors and high-performance analytics. We are seeking an experienced Satellite Product Leader to manage our IoT Satellite Portfolio and align it with our overall strategic plan and goals.



About the Role


The Satellite Product Leader will be primarily responsible for managing the product lifecycle, including product planning, prioritization, and release programs. This role requires strong technical knowledge and understanding of the satellite low-band landscape. You will work closely with cross-functional teams, including engineering, sales, and marketing, to drive product positioning, launch, and commercialization activities.



Key Responsibilities


The key responsibilities of this role include:



  • Developing and producing product plans, specifying and managing priorities, and release programs;
  • Developing a deep understanding of target customers and markets across the satellite low-band landscape;
  • Defining and documenting commercial requirements based on customer research, competitive analysis, and market trends; in partnership with engineering, prioritize and scope requirements into new product development projects;
  • Supporting the M2M Group sales team in presales activity as a subject matter expert;
  • Actively contributing to the management of new product development programs, including authoring user stories, reviewing and managing project deliverables, tracking and responding to project performance metrics;
  • Working in partnership with Marketing to drive product positioning, launch, and other commercialization activities, including defining key marketing messages, supporting generation of marketing collateral, developing sales demos and tools;
  • Supporting the M2M Group sales and channel organization through regular product training, webinars, and product demos;
  • Developing and maintaining connectivity pricing and relevant market pricing respective to assigned product portfolio;
  • Tracking and reporting on key management metrics of product line, including sales and revenue targets, sales opportunity funnel metrics, and competitive updates; prepare and drive countermeasures where performance does not meet target expectations;
  • Performing benchmarking analysis on competitive products, providing feedback to sales and channel organizations;


Requirements


To be successful in this role, you will need:



  • A degree in Engineering/Computer Science or Business;
  • 2+ years technology product management experience;
  • Superior interpersonal skills, ability to work closely with the M2M Group sales team and interact with customers and technology partners at a senior level;
  • Strong understanding of technical platforms and dependencies;
  • Demonstrated ability to influence outcomes in a cross-functional, multi-disciplined team environment;


Compensation and Benefits


This position comes with a highly competitive salary of AU$120,000 - AU$160,000 per annum, depending on experience. Additionally, Semtech offers a comprehensive benefits package, including medical, dental, and vision insurance, 401(k) matching, and generous paid time off.
